License

Small Tiger Group grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use bim-cli for any personal or professional purpose, including internal business workflows, at no charge.

You may not redistribute, resell, rent, sublicense, or incorporate bim-cli into a product or service you offer to others.

Third-party software

The bim-revit driver communicates with Autodesk Revit via its published add-in API. You must hold a valid Autodesk Revit license to use bim-revit. bim-cli is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a product of Autodesk, Inc. "Revit" is a trademark of Autodesk, Inc., used here solely to identify the software with which bim-revit interoperates.

The exec verb

Read this before using bim revit exec.

The exec verb executes arbitrary code inside your Revit process with no sandboxing or validation. You are solely responsible for the code you run.

Data loss. If the Revit process is terminated during exec — by timeout, by the kill command, or by a crash — any unsaved work in that session is permanently lost. This applies especially in attach mode, where exec targets a session you are actively using.
Model corruption. Code executed via exec has full write access to the open Revit model. A script that modifies or deletes model data will do so without additional confirmation.
Unrestricted system access. exec code runs with your Windows user account privileges and has access to your file system and network.

Do not use exec against a Revit session containing unsaved work unless you understand and accept these risks.

Disclaimer of warranties

The software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Small Tiger Group disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. Small Tiger Group does not warrant that the software will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or free from bugs or vulnerabilities.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Small Tiger Group be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages — including loss of data, loss of Revit model work, loss of profits, or business interruption — arising out of your use of or inability to use the software, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Small Tiger Group's total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to this agreement or the software shall not exceed $100.00 USD.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising under these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Wyoming.
